Drive Electric Week 2015 - Hong Kong

Drive Electric Week, September 12-20, 2015, is an international celebration to heighten awareness of today's widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. They are fun to drive, are less expensive and more convenient to fuel than gasoline vehicles, are better for the environment, promote local jobs, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.

2015 will mark the first year that Hong Kong will participate, with Charged Hong Kong organising the event here. During that week we'll be running a competition across Hong Kong for EV advocates giving the most test rides, arranging the most test drives, using public and destination charging stations, driving sales of EVs, and many more such EV advocacy tasks. Prizes will be awarded to those participants with the highest number of points gained during the week. More details of this will be provided in the coming days.

The Sunday 20th September 2015 evening event is the culmination of the Drive Electric Week in Hong Kong. This gathering is to celebrate that week with good food, drink, lucky draw prizes for the Drive Electric Week competition, and perhaps a surprise activity or two. It is a once-in-a-year chance to meet other EV owners and drivers in Hong Kong. Remote Control Roadster and Model S cars will be there for drivers of all ages.

The location will be the Tamarind Restaurant, 2/F., Sun Hung Kai Centre, 30 Harbour Road, Wan Chai.

Cost for bookings enjoying the early bird discount before August 25th will be HK$450 per adult, or HK$225 for children 3-11. For bookings after August 25th, those prices will +HK$50 extra per person. This includes a 2 Hour Dinner Buffet and 4 Hour Open Bar (Including House Red and White Wine, Beer, Soft Drink and Juice).
